Our client, who is an established College in the centre of London, has an urgent requirement for a Beauty Therapy Lecturer & Assessor to join their team on a maternity contract.You will be responsible for a min of 20-46 candidates in the capacity of the tutor and assessor. You are to support and guide the students at all time to ensure that the learning is fun, interesting and appropriate you are to guide them through the assessments providing feedback to ensure the candidate develop their skills. You will be working with in a team to help develop the course in both the delivery and techniques.Due to that nature of the role candidates must possess the following or an equivalent (although all applications are welcome): • NVQ in Beauty Therapy levels 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent• BTEC Beauty Sciences• City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent• VTCT Diploma in level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent• ITEC Beauty therapy 2 and 3 or equivalent• A1 Award• Cert Ed qualification or equivalent• High level of computer literacy including Microsoft office• High level of numeral literacy• Experience of working within a spa/salon environment• Experience as an Assessor• Experience of working as a tutor• Experience with dealing with difficult customers/staff• Proactive approach to work• Aim for continuous self improvement• Works co-operatively towards team objectives• Excellent communicator (verbal/written)• Ability to work flexibly i.e. attend meetings outside 9am-6pm. • Ability to work under pressure• Ability to use initiativeIn return an excellent salary and benefits are on offer for this role.
